Kitten question?? help help help.?

My kitten (Addeline Croockshanks) seems to be going through this phase. She scratches and bites. When i’m trying to sleep, she’ll run all over my bed like a freakin race car in NASCAR or a spider on crack. She’s adorable and I love her to death but I look like a cutter with all these scratches on my hands, arm and legs.

So my question is, will she ever get out of this phase and if so, when will she?
She’s about a 2 months old.

She’s a kitten, and most kittens are very hyper at that age. My sister gave me an all gray cat for my birthday, she has green eyes and she’s my life. That’s her in my picture. She did the EXACT same thing to me. If you want her to stop, get a spray bottle and spray her with water every time she bites you. She’ll get the hint that you don’t want her to bite, but you still want to play. I did that to my cat and she stopped. She’s still hyper, but as she gets a little older, she will calm down.

haha I love how you said she was like a spider on crack :P

shes just a kitten. a young one at that. kittens are like that usually within the firs few months. they bite and scratch and are CRAZY but usually once they hit adolescence they calm down. if that doesnt work, spay her. once she is fixed she will calm down

Yes, I have a kitten and he does the same thing. When ever I sleep, I have to put him in a room alone for a while. I put him in the laundry room where his litter box is so he will not have any accidents. He learns not to scratch anymore because locking him in a room alone for a while is sort of a punishment to him.

    hope this helps:)

She’ll mellow out within the next couple months. I got a kitten and he was PSYCHO so psycho I had to put him in another room at night so I can sleep. He’s going on to be about 3.5 months now and he’s really mellowed out. He snuggles with me and likes to sit on my shoulder, but when he wants to play he REALLY wants to play. They’ll definitely get out of this phase. I have another kitten who is 6 months and all she wants to do is sleep.

Not sure how to tell you this…

She’s two months old! You haven’t seen or experienced anything yet. Just wait a few months.

My little guy is about 8 months old. I look like I’ve repeatedly tried to slash my wrists (and hands, and face, and arms, and legs)

It depends on on what breed she is! If she is an orange tabby then most likely she will never get out of this phase, they love to play! If she is a different breed then its just a kitten phase( well even if she is orange) all kittens will be like this! You need to play with her! Get her a couple balls to play with and it should take all the energy out of her by th time you want to sleep! Ya my cats do that to but they don’t scratch me up, but i can’t exactly say that because i’ve had 2 orange cats and they both did what you explained. You should try telling them NO! in a little bit deeper voice then your own and maybe she will stop.
    Hope that Helps!!!!!

Well, you’ve got a kitten, and this is perfectly normal kitten behavior. It will get worse over the next few months, and then she’ll calm down some as she approaches adulthood. Get some good toys and play with her as much as you possibly can to help her expend some of that energy.

kittens are like children they just like to play all the time and this is their way of playing by scratching and running around crazily but as soon as they become one year old they start to calm down
that’s what happened with my cats..
