I see that a small bed underneath it comes out for guests. But the daybeds i was looking at look to small to sleep on? How can you sleep on them and still be comfortable? Also where can I find a daybed? Cheap. Like around $200. But still nice and still comfortable.

A daybed generally takes a twin size mattress, which is adequate for one person to sleep on. The small bed underneath is called a trundle bed, and it takes a twin size mattress as well. Daybeds are found in most furniture stores. For a bargain, check out Craigslist, consignment stores, and etc. You might be able to find a cheap frame, and outfit it with a twin mattress for little money.
I have a daybed with trundle in my guestroom. It is quite comfy. I have a feather topper on one, and a foam "egg crate" topper on the other. The mattresses are inexpensive but fine for the occasional guest.
If it is going to be your main sleeping bed, maybe you want to invest in a better mattress.
For a dude, those beds have only a slight edge on a couch. Althought it could be a good excuse to share beds

I had one growing up. Mine was a twin bed. That is it had a twin mattress and underneath was a trundle bed, also a twin.
Unlike a futon, or a hide-a-bed, one need not ‘make up’ a Day bed. It is essentially a twin bed with three sides.
