What is the difference in comforters, duvets, bed spreads, and coverlets/quilts?? i am looking for a new one and idk the difference in all these?

A duvet is a type of bedding — a soft flat bag traditionally filled with down or feathers, or a combination of both and used on a bed as a blanket. Duvets originated in rural Europe and were made from the down feathers of the Eider duck, known for its usefulness as an insulator.

A comforter is a type of blanket. Comforters are intended to keep the user warm, especially during sleep, although they can also be used as mattress pads. Comforters are generally large and rectangular in shape, filled with natural or synthetic insulative material and encased in a shell/covering. Like quilts, comforters are generally used with a set of sheets.
A Bed spread is the same thing.

answer please..if that’s not possible give me a things that are ok to put n a terrarium

I have three hermit crabs (but in all my years of experience ive had seven) and no, you cannot use small animal type bedding for hermit crabs. Hermit crabs (despite their names) Are very social animals and you should get AT LEAST two or the lonely one will get depressed and die early…
Anyway, use sand for hermit crabs because they originally live on the beach. You don’t have to use any special hermit crab sand like everyone says, you can use just playsand, which you can get from like walmart for like 5 bucks. Anyways, good luck with your hermit crabs!!! And if you are only getting one, that’s not good! Get AT LEAST two, but three or four is better.

Generally, how long does your dog nap each day? Are they active, bouncing around every of your waking minute or do they tend to lie in the sun or snuggle up in their beddings for most of the day?

4 years ago, I would eat myself to see this answer written down here. She was the BOUNCIEST dog ever. Never stopped. I remember walking her 5 miles per day and she came home tireless, jumping around and begging me to play.

Now she is older, suffers from heart condition and arthits, and isn’t too much bouncy. Sometimes I want to play with her and she is too tired, and, in Winter, she spends most days snuggled up under tones of blankets. On the Summer she likes to sleep on the sun. She adapted herself very well to the fact she isn’t a bouncy puppy anymore… But sometimes, she still wishes to. It breaks my heart seeing her running around like a puppy, and suddenly, feeling tired and breathless, trying to run but knowing she has to give up…

I don’t really mind though. She’s still mentally and physically healthy and we still wrestle, she still runs around in circles when I arrive home and she chases the cat with a lot of energy. I still play fetch and hide and seek with her, only slower, and she loves it.

I’d say that my dog spends:

60% of her life sleeping
25% of her life playing (slowly and smoothly)
10% of her life chasing the cat
5% of her life eating (she’s not so greedy)

green is a good one but be careful with the shade. Not too pale, dark or off.
white furniture sometimes goes well. just make sure EVERYTHING is white. you have to do it right or people end up with rooms that look like a babys room. It has to be a bit formal.
Unless you want something bright and striking?

I’m gonna need 1 laundry basket (instead of a bag so that i can fold my clothes right away-do u think that’s a good idea?), 1 under bed containers (i prefer something open), hangers, stepping stool, waste baskets, bed covers adn whatever goes in a set, 2 pillows, bed table, hair dryer, shower rug so that i don’t slip again like during orientation, book light….. get the picture? Here are some of the stores I am thinking of: KMart, Target, Anna’s Linens, Big Lots, Walmart. Is Anna’s Linens the cheapest for the things I need for the toilet and beddings and towels?

Do you have a Ross Store near you? See link for store locator. They have a large selection of name-brand and designer products (home, bedding and clothing) at wholesale prices. http://www.rossstores.com/gd_gd.jsp

If you don’t have a Ross Store in your area then Target is a good choice. Also, think about looking at clearance sales at JC Penney’s. Good luck!

What I understand about bed bugs is that they come to the bed at night to feed from the walls/crevices from which they live. Sometimes, you’ll still find them in your bedding. Heat kills the bugs. Throw your bedding (which can’t be washed in hot water) in the dryer to kill the bugs. In order to rid your home of the population, you’ll need to call an exterminator to fumigate your home. I would get his suggestion about mattress replacement.

Fleece should be fine, but you always want to avoid newsprint if you can. You should even avoid dyed cardboard as a chew toy! Inks and dyes can have any number of toxins in them that are harmful to small pets.

A good option though is toilet paper, plain white unscented toilet paper, and why not? Its made to absorb urine isn’t it? And small animals will often use it as nest building material as well as bedding.

As for fleece, the only thing I would do is watch that fibers don’t get caught around limbs or tails. I know it’s one of the things not suggested for gerbils (my pet of choice) because they shuck their tails if they get caught, and fleece fibers are strong enough that if tails did somehow manage to get caught, the tail would die and fall off. Rats don’t do that, to my knowledge, but it would still be painful and annoying for you and your rat, so it would be safer to go with some other form of bedding like Carefree or the equally good walmart brand (can’t remember the name of it off the top of my head).

Also, I second Taste of Rain’s note not to use pine like others have suggested, its has oils that are toxic to rodents as well and are best avoided.
