I think it is very cute!

Black and white is very trendy and looks awesome with splashes of an accent color. Red is always a great accent to B&W and you can find really affordable accent pillows, candles, trays and picture frames to distribute throughout the room.

Search for a funky mobile you can hang from the ceiling in a similar pattern or fun appliques for your walls (See source). There are a ton of themes you can go with…

Apparently Thomasville Home Furnishings ceased manufacturing operations in October, 2007, and I am desperately trying to locate this bed ensemble and any matching/coordinating pieces.

…Touch of Class still has some of that pattern.

Bear in mind, that some of the sheets and accessories for one type of King work fine on the other. In fact, only the fitted sheet would be a problem:

A Standard King is also called an Eastern King and a California King is also called a Western King.

A Standard King is about 4" wider and a California King is 4" longer.

Standard King or Eastern King beds are about 16" wider than a Queen bed and the same length. A King size bed is sold with two box springs or frames and one mattress. This makes it easier to move.
Overall dimensions: 76" wide x 80" long
Width per person: 38"
Pros: As the widest bed commonly available in stores, the Standard King is the most comfortable for two adults. The 80" length is sufficient for most people. Sheets labeled "King Size" fit a Standard King bed.
Cons: Because of its size, a King bed may not be practical for a single person who has to do the moving by himself. They’re hard to get upstairs, through narrow, winding hallways, and small rooms. A King bed may not be long enough for very tall people. Bedding is most expensive in the King sizes. The wide bed requires at least 3 standard or 2 queen or king pillows, adding to the cost.

California King or Western King beds are 12" wider than a Queen and 4" longer. This is the longest bed commonly available in stores and is the best choice for tall people. Like the Eastern King, the California King bed set comes with one mattress and two half-width box springs to be more manageable when moving. Very tall single people can sleep from corner to corner and still be comfortable.

Width per person: 36"
Pros: A California King size mattress is wide enough for two to sleep comfortably and is the longest bed commonly available. Its extra length is good for tall people.
Cons: This very large mattress may be cumbersome to move and may not fit up stairs, through narrow hallways, or in small bedrooms. Like the Eastern King, the California King bed set comes with one mattress and two half-width box springs to be more manageable when moving. Very tall single people can sleep from corner to corner and still be comfortable.
Note: Some bed manufacturers change the definition of "standard" sizes by a few inches. Before you go shopping for bedding, be sure to get the exact measurements of your bed so you are able to putchase the correct size sheets.

is there a website were i can find a selection of dark and or goth bed ensembles for my daughter. I’ve been looking around and theres nothing appealing she doesn’t like pink so non of that.

IKEA has great dark wood (lots of black too) items that are quite affordable.

If she’s into that sort of stuff then yes.. but otherwise no. I prefer going for something a bit more neutral. I love flowers and girly things.. just not like that across my bed.

I am looking to buy a new bedroom suite and I have always been curious to the best way to go. Ensemble or bed frame??? I love the look of a frame, I am just worried it won’t last the lenght of time. I am looking to invest in something that will last 20years plus, understanding I will have to buy a new mattress along the way! I know the ensemble is more versatile, and easy to move. I guess I am just worried that the support in a frame will give (simliar to an old couch). Any ideas???

You could try and Google search the manufacturer to see if the set is sold elsewhere at a cheaper price.

Or, check your local newspapers, or call the nearest store for flyers or perhaps register on-line for coupons. I constantly get 20% off coupons from Bed Bath and Beyond.

With the coupon, and maybe some of your own money, your parents may compromise and pay the rest.

I bought, within reason, just about anything my children wanted if they obeyed the rules. A good child makes a cooperative parent.
